Day 14: GUI and rethinking the flow

On this week the team met with our lovely graphic designer from Seminar Hakibutzim to discuss inspirations and ideas for the app's design. Then on Wednesday, we met to discuss further ideas regarding the flow of the app and also view the first draft of the app's GUI. The entire group agreed that having a character of a duck leading the GUI would really suit the look and feel of the app and also portray the idea that our app is intended for lazy users that create a chain of walk just like "ducks walking in a row". Another important topic was raised during that meeting, whether our flow is technologically applicable. It seemed after giving it a thorough thought and working on the development of it, that perhaps we should find an easier flow. Hence, two flows were suggested: one, that an active user would start a walk that circles all of his/hers friends' houses, giving them an exact ETA and allowing them enough time to get ready for the pick up. That means that there is one chain created by one active user and no one else has the responsibility to continue the chain, as one leader picks up everybody else. Two, that "A" user would click on "find a friend" as similar to "get a taxi" and would walk to the first available friend ("B") who approved the walk. Once"B" is picked up by "A", he continues the chain by clicking again on"find a friend". That way "A" can decide whether to return home or join "B" for his walk with "C". Two of these flows were suggested, however none of them were confirmed yet, as we decided to choose the final flow on Sunday. Below are images from our GUI and also from flow one.
